Escalators and Lifts: Choosing Between Vertical Transport Options
When a building needs escalators, when it needs lifts, and why many need both.
Overview
Escalator stairs move many people continuously, while lifts serve accessibility and goods. Searches for elevator and escalator, elevator escalator, lift and escalator and lift escalator show that buyers often plan both together. A home escalator is rare because of space, but an escalator suits malls and stations. An escalator is an an escalator in a single sentence only in searches, but its real use is high-traffic buildings.
Special forms include the spiral escalator and, in unusual cases, a car escalator for vehicles. Brand-related searches include schindler escalator and kone escalator. VDMIL is not affiliated with those brands.
Many buildings need both: escalators for flow and lifts for accessibility and goods.
